In defence of the post, and the writer of ancient times, I think most here are missing the meaning and the context.
Personally, I am commonly wowed by nature. From ancient times, peoples of the world have have sensed awe in nature. It has often helped us to define who we are as common mortals set within the awesome greatness of what many enjoy calling Creation.
It is the basis of mysticism, wonder, questioning, and searching.
Notice how low the bar is placed on the criteria here for knowing and worshipping The Creator. Our Indigenous brothers understand this perfectly well as do many peoples around the globe.
As one with degrees in mathematics, I get much the same sense from the beauty of mathematics, and love the book titled… Is God a Mathematician? (Mario Livio, 2009)
Strip out the mystery and wonder of life and nature and you may find yourself a rusting hulk in a pile of technological garbage.
I prefer beauty and renewal over decay… and a good dose of humility in place of pompous disdain.
Live every day within the beauty of imaginative life and faith. It’s by far the best medicine for our souls.
Hmmm… I’ve got one Like so far, and no nasty comments!!
