Our use of Copilot Searches

Using Copilot as a Quick Search (QS) Tool…

Our Missional Church Network intends to be unbiased theologically as we seek to understand and follow the biblical teachings of Christ.  Our approach places learning (more openness) above confirming (less openness) as we explore the depth and breadth of both Christian and Evangelical thought.

We see much value in current technological tools that purport to gather information efficiently from online and print/media resources.  We see it to be potentially less biased than might be the case if we relied on our own personal writing perspectives.  Our use of AI in this case is simply a tool for both Bible study and locating sources of Christian comment and perspectives.

We are not aware of any systemic bias in using tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot (as implemented by Microsoft Edge).  Nevertheless, users are encouraged to critically evaluate any content shared from this AI approach.   It should be viewed more as a starting point for reflection rather than as an exhaustive search.

Our goal is not to “prove a point” but to actively pursue deeper understanding of the gospel and Christian teaching.
