Personal note:

Some of us with MCN also know of him from his book, To Change the World:  The Irony, Tragedy, and Possibility of Christianity in the Late Modern World (2010).  Part III of the book explores the theology of Faithful Presence, which in turn has been picked up by other Evangelical writers, such as David Fitch, Faithful Presence: Seven Disciplines That Shape the Church for Mission (2016).
