Resources on Ideology and Its Threat to Biblical Faith
[Under development.]
Intro…
Missional relevance. Our idea of “missional” includes the recognized need for preparation for engagement. Those we may seek to share our faith with are most often already well connected with ideological frameworks different from that of our own. At least to a degree it is generally accepted that time and effort should be devoted to understanding the sub-cultures of those to whom we seek to bring the Gospel. Understanding the realities of ideologies, and their hold on the minds and hearts of others, can be important points of dialogue as we engage with genuine interest and care.
As editor of these pages on Ideology, I’ve created a “shallow end” approach to the deeper articles that will appear below.
Here is a link to some basic “cognitive frameworks.” Think of them as introductory to deeper explorations of shared human ideas.
Missional engagement thrives on openings found through establishment first of relationships.
I’d love to have feedback on the content of this link and other resources below.
