PROFILE

I am a follower of Christ. I have the privilege of being a husband, father, business partner, entrepreneur,
leader, friend and mentor. I engage immigrants, fringe and invisible people. I pursue the “growing edge”.
I like to take initiative where apathy has ruled, identify and tackle problems that need solving, serve and
support in hidden places, befriend people that need friends, empower people who need a boost to
realize their dreams and potential. My wife and I are supported in a small group which meets bi-weekly
for study, fellowship and prayer. I join weekly with men who are Christian leaders for prayer and support.

EXPERIENCE — PAST ROLES AS AN EDUCATOR 1984-2016

• Research and collaborate with industry to develop and deliver curriculum for Electronic Publishing
Program, SIAST International (Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, India), and Online Programs for the Virtual
Campus at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Also Training Consultant for industry-specific courses.
• Instructor with Neil Squire Foundation, equipping people with special needs.
• Presenter at Sask Graphic Arts Association, Sask Weekly Newspaper Association, Printing Industries
of Canada, International Association of Business Communicators, Association of Canadian Bible
Colleges, Canadian Information Processing Society, and a variety of eLearning Conferences.
• Developed and implemented Plan to Protect program at CMQ Quizzing for 400+ quizzers, 50 leaders.
• ESL tutor with Regina Library, and individually.

Merv and his wife, Carol, live in Regina and have ?? grown children.
